Atletico Madrid Agree Lookman Deal Pending Medical

Atletico Madrid have agreed a deal with Atalanta to sign Nigeria international Ademola Lookman, subject to the forward passing a medical.

The 28 year old is already in Madrid to complete checks and finalise his move. Atletico have not disclosed the fee or contract length, but Spanish media report the transfer is worth around 35 million euros.

Lookman scored 55 goals for Atalanta after joining in 2022, with his standout moment a hat trick in the 2024 Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen.

If the medical is completed, he will bolster Diego Simeone’s side as they prepare for a Champions League knockout playoff against Club Brugge.
