Stuttgart booked their place in the DFB-Pokal semi-finals with a 3-0 win over Holstein
Kiel, pulling clear late on after a tense contest.
After a cautious first half, Stuttgart broke the deadlock just before the hour mark when
Deniz Undav produced a clever finish from close range following a headed assist by
Atakan Karazor.
Kiel threatened a response and went close through Aldin Jakupovic, but failed to find an
equaliser.
The hosts’ late push left space at the back and Stuttgart capitalised, with Chris Fuhrich
rounding the goalkeeper to slot into an empty net before Karazor added a third in
stoppage time after being brought down in the box.
The victory ended Kiel’s hopes of repeating their 2020/21 semi-final run and keeps
Stuttgart on course for a fourth Pokal triumph.
