Atletico Madrid survived a furious comeback from FC Barcelona to seal a place in
the Copa del Rey final, despite losing 3-0 on the night at Camp Nou.
Protecting a 4-0 first-leg advantage, Diego Simeone’s side were forced into a backs-
to-the-wall display as Marc Bernal’s brace and a Raphinha penalty slashed the
deficit.
Juan Musso’s superb double save proved decisive at a key moment, while Ademola
Lookman’s pace on the break kept Barca wary.
The hosts threw everything forward in the closing stages, but their revival ended one
goal short, as Atletico marched into their first Copa final since 2012/13.
