Liverpool is preparing for a hostile atmosphere when they face Galatasaray in the
UEFA Champions League last-16 first leg on Tuesday.
Head coach Arne Slot said the Reds are ready for the intense environment at Rams
Park after experiencing it earlier this season.
“These fans are very impressive. When you have the ball, the whistling is so loud,”
Slot said. “The good thing is we’ve experienced it already once.”
Slot also warned that Liverpool must focus on the challenge posed by Galatasaray
on the pitch.
“We don’t only play against the fans, but also 11 very good players with a very good
manager,” he added.
The match will be Slot’s 100th game as Liverpool boss, though he insisted the focus
remains with his players.
“It’s nice that my 100th game is such a big match, but it’s never about the manager.
It’s about the players,” he said.
Liverpool will be without injured goalkeeper Alisson Becker and ill forward Federico
Chiesa for the trip to Turkey.
