LASERC Unveils Pilot Program for Continuous Electricity in Lagos.

The Lagos State Electricity Regulatory Commission (LASERC) has announced its intention to launch a pilot program for 24/7 electricity franchise zones across Lagos, starting in October 2026. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance the state’s electricity market.

Temitope George, the CEO of the Commission, shared this information during the first stakeholder engagement event held at The Cordis Hotel on Thursday.

This initiative is a key component of LASERC’s Short-Term Regulatory Agenda, which sets forth strategic objectives designed to enhance the efficiency, innovation, and reliability of Lagos’ electricity market through 2030.
