THUNDER EDGE SPURS TO MOVE WITHIN ONE WIN OF NBA FINALS.
Oklahoma City Thunder moved to within one victory of the NBA Finals after beating
the San Antonio Spurs 127-114 to take a 3-2 lead in the Western Conference finals.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the way with 32 points as Oklahoma City bounced back
strongly from Sunday’s defeat with a dominant display at the Paycom Center.
The Thunder punished a sloppy Spurs performance, with Victor Wembanyama
struggling in the field despite scoring 20 points, while Devin Vassell managed only
six points on a difficult shooting night.
Alex Caruso added 22 points off the bench for Oklahoma City, while Jared McCain
scored 20 points in another impressive team performance.
The Thunder pulled away with a huge second quarter and led by as many as 20
points before holding off a brief Spurs comeback attempt.
Oklahoma City can now seal the series in Game 6 on Thursday in San Antonio.
