ERIKSEN COLLAPSE FORCES DENMARK-UKRAINE FRIENDLY TO BE ABANDONED.

Denmark’s friendly against Ukraine was abandoned after 65 minutes following a
frightening collapse by Christian Eriksen.

Medical staff rushed to the midfielder’s aid as players from both teams formed a
protective circle around him. Encouragingly, Eriksen was later reported to be
conscious and was helped off the pitch before being taken for further assessment.

“It is a really shocking experience for everyone,” Denmark coach Brian Riemer said
after the match was called off.

Captain Pierre-Emile Højbjerg added, “The most important thing is that Christian is
well.”

The Danish Football Association later confirmed that Eriksen was conscious and
doing well under the circumstances.
