Julian Nagelsmann has extended his tenure as Germany’s head coach until EURO 2028, the German Football Association (DFB) confirmed on Friday.
The 37-year-old, who took charge in September 2023, guided the national team to the quarter-finals of EURO 2024 on home soil.
Initially contracted until the 2026 World Cup in North America, Nagelsmann’s impressive leadership has earned him a longer stay.
A former Bayern Munich boss, Nagelsmann became Germany’s second-youngest head coach when he assumed the role at 36. Reflecting on his extension, he expressed his excitement for the future.
“When I joined the DFB, I never imagined staying beyond the home EURO. But the incredible support we receive daily proves we are on the right path. We want to win titles together,” Nagelsmann said.
With a long-term vision in place, Germany looks to build a bright future under his guidance.
