FirstBank to Construct Nigeria’s Tallest Green-Certified Head Office in Eko Atlantic

FirstBank, West Africa’s leading financial institution, is set to begin construction of a 40-story green-certified Head Office in Eko Atlantic City, Lagos, marking a major milestone in the bank’s legacy of excellence and innovation.

The groundbreaking ceremony, scheduled to take place soon, will officially launch the development of what is expected to be Nigeria’s tallest building and a benchmark for sustainable banking infrastructure in Africa. Designed with state-of-the-art technology and eco-friendly features, the skyscraper will redefine industry standards by integrating green-certified solutions aimed at reducing operational costs and promoting environmental sustainability.

Olusegun Alebiosu, Chief Executive Officer of FirstBank Group, emphasized the bank’s commitment to driving economic growth and sustainable development across Africa. He described the upcoming headquarters as a world-class structure that symbolizes FirstBank’s dedication to innovation, customer satisfaction, and responsible business practices.

Our new Head Office is envisioned as a world-class structure that represents our dedication to innovation, customer satisfaction, and sustainability. With a history spanning over 130 years, FirstBank has been at the forefront of banking innovation, financial inclusion, and international expansion. The bank operates subsidiaries across nine countries on three continents, reinforcing its status as a global financial powerhouse.

Femi Otedola, Chairman of FirstHoldCo, expressed gratitude to customers and stakeholders for their unwavering support in bringing the vision to reality. He highlighted the importance of collaboration in executing the ambitious project.
