DOKU STRIKES LATE AS MAN CITY RESCUE DRAW AT EVERTON.
Manchester City F.C. kept their title hopes alive with a dramatic 3-3 draw against
Everton F.C., thanks to a stoppage-time equaliser from Jérémy Doku.
City took the lead just before half-time when Doku curled in from the edge of the box
in the 42nd minute.
Everton turned the game around after the break, with Thierno Barry equalising in the
58th minute before Jake O’Brien headed them in front on 70 minutes.
Barry struck again in the 78th minute to extend the lead.
Erling Haaland pulled one back for City in the 82nd minute with a composed finish,
before Doku completed the comeback with a 97th-minute strike to salvage a point.
“It’s never over until the end,” Doku said after the match as City fought back late to
avoid defeat.
The result leaves City five points behind league leaders Arsenal F.C., dealing a blow
to their title hopes.
