Nigerian rapper Ice Prince has revealed that his long-term cannabis habit cost him a staggering N340 million between 2020 and 2026, admitting the lifestyle became financially exhausting before he eventually quit.

Speaking during a recent appearance on the Black Box podcast, the rapper, born Panshak Zamani, disclosed that the amount was spent on marijuana purchased from just one supplier based in Lagos.

“From 2020 to 2026, I spent N340 million on weed from just one dealer alone,” he said, adding that the figure excluded purchases made from other dealers in Abuja, Ghana, Jos, and London.

According to the “Oleku” hitmaker, the shocking amount he spent on cannabis played a major role in his decision to stop smoking entirely. He explained that quitting weed and alcohol became part of a broader personal transformation focused on discipline, healing, and self-improvement.

Ice Prince also revealed that he has embraced celibacy as part of his new lifestyle, describing the phase as a period of self-discovery and growth.

The rapper rose to fame in the early 2010s with chart-topping songs such as Oleku and “Aboki,” becoming one of the leading voices in Nigerian hip-hop and Afrobeats. Despite years in the spotlight, he remains a prominent figure in the music industry.
