BOURNAMOUTH

Bournemouth kicked off their Premier League Summer Series campaign with a dominant 3–0 win over Everton at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Saturday night.

After a quiet first half, Philip Billing sparked the Cherries into life with a powerful strike in the 55th minute, beating Jordan Pickford from the edge of the area.

Just four minutes later, Dango Ouattara added a second. The Burkina Faso winger capitalised on a defensive mix-up, smashing his shot high into the net after Nathan Patterson’s poor control.

Young forward Daniel Adu-Adjei sealed the win in the 69th minute, pouncing on Jake O’Brien’s underhit backpass to calmly slot past Pickford.

Everton failed to threaten in the second half and were well off the pace in sweltering conditions, while Bournemouth looked sharper and more clinical throughout.
