The Forum of All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmen from the North-Central zone has expressed confidence that the ruling party is firmly positioned for victory in the 2027 general elections.

He dismissed the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a “worn-out political vehicle” with no capacity to challenge the APC.

The forum, led by Kwara State Chairman, Hon. Sunday Fagbemi, made the declaration yesterday after paying a condolence visit to the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, over the death of his mother last month.

Fagbemi said the APC remains focused on delivering the people-oriented Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, adding that opposition parties cannot derail the party from its course.

“The bold steps taken by our leader, President Tinubu, are already yielding results. We are good to go. Let us not be distracted. Before the next election begins, everything will be fine,” he said.

He noted that Nigeria’s development is a continuous project that cannot be completed in one term, insisting that the people have already entrusted the APC with their confidence.

“We are not betraying that trust. We will do better than we are doing now. Nigeria is good to go with the APC,” he added.

Commending President Tinubu’s economic policies, Fagbemi said Nigerians are beginning to see progress.
“He has done a lot in terms of economic recovery. Food prices are gradually coming down because of diversification. The era of becoming an emergency billionaire through the CBN is over. The naira has been floated and the economy is going in the right direction. Even PDP governors are happy that their allocations have tripled,” he said.

Also speaking, Nasarawa State APC Chairman, Dr. Aliyu Bello, dismissed claims that the ruling party was threatened by the opposition.
“The PDP, which is the main opposition, is also led by a chairman from the North-Central, and we defeated them. As for ADC, it is like a vehicle with an old driver, old engine and bad spare tyres. Why should we even bother ourselves? It’s the same old people with no record of success,” Bello stated.

On insecurity in the region, Plateau State APC Chairman, Dr. Benjamin Omale, maintained that the Tinubu administration was addressing the challenge head-on.
“Insecurity is not peculiar to the North-Central alone; it is a global issue. But the government is combing every nook and cranny to flush out criminals. With God on our side, insecurity will soon be a thing of the past,” he said.
