Barcelona eased past Getafe 3-0 at the Estadi Johan Cruyff, securing their 11th win in 13 LaLiga home matches while the visitors maintained their best points tally at this stage of a season despite defeat.
In torrential rain, Ferran Torres struck twice in the first half, the first after a clever Dani Olmo backheel and the second from a Raphinha pass that caught Getafe flat-footed.
Torres almost had a hat-trick before smashing against the bar, while Robert Lewandowski and Olmo also went close.
Getafe responded after the restart, with Javi Muñoz and Domingos Duarte threatening, but substitute Marcus Rashford set up Olmo to kill off the contest midway through the second half.
The result extends Barcelona’s dominance over Getafe, who have never won away to the Catalans in LaLiga, losing 18 of 22 visits.
