Super Falcons defender Michelle Alozie has earned a nomination for the 2025 FIFPRO Women’s World XI, cementing her place among the best footballers in the world.
The Houston Dash right-back, who played a starring role in Nigeria’s record-extending 10th WAFCON triumph earlier this year, is one of only three African players shortlisted for the prestigious award.
She joins Morocco’s captain Ghizlane Chebbak and Zambia’s Barbra Banda on the 26-player list.
Voted for exclusively by professional footballers, the FIFPRO World XI is one of the game’s most respected global honours.
More than 26,000 players from 68 countries took part in this year’s voting, recognising top performers between August 2024 and August 2025.
The final eleven will be selected based on the highest number of votes per position, with the winners set to be unveiled on November 3.
