MAN CITY GO TOP AS BURNLEY RELEGATED AFTER NARROW DEFEAT.
Manchester City climbed to the top of the Premier League with a 1-0 win over
Burnley, a result that also confirmed the Clarets’ relegation.
City started quickly and took control early, with Erling Haaland finishing calmly after
being set through by Jérémy Doku.
Despite dominating possession, the hosts failed to extend their lead, with chances
falling to Bernardo Silva and Rayan Cherki, while Burnley threatened sporadically
but could not capitalise.
City continued to push after the break, with Haaland hitting the post and Savinho
denied, but they were unable to add a second goal.
