Juventus snapped their eight-game winless streak in style, defeating Udinese 3-1 in Turin to hand interim coach Massimo Brambilla a dream start to his tenure.

The result came just days after the dismissal of Igor Tudor, marking a much-needed response from a side under pressure.

Dusan Vlahović opened the scoring inside three minutes, winning and converting a penalty after being tripped by Saba Goglichidze.

The Serbian striker thought he had doubled Juve’s lead midway through the half, only for the goal to be ruled out for offside.

Despite their dominance, the hosts were pegged back just before the break when Nicolò Zaniolo pounced on a loose ball to curl in Udinese’s equaliser.

Juventus regained their control in the second half and were rewarded in the 68th minute when Federico Gatti rose highest to head home from Andrea Cambiaso’s recycled corner.

Substitute Kenan Yıldız came close twice late on before finally sealing the win from the penalty spot in stoppage time.

Brambilla’s side looked revitalised and determined, with the victory lifting them back into the European conversation and restoring belief after a turbulent few weeks.
