Armed bandits invaded the Government Girls Comprehensive Senior Secondary School, Maga, Danko Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State, killing the vice principal and abducting several female students.
According to officials, attackers invaded the school around 1:00 a.m. and started shooting, causing panic among the students and staff. During the attack, the Vice Principal Hassan Yakubu Makuku, who tried to protect the girls, was shot dead.

Security operatives and local vigilante groups have also started a manhunt for the abductors. According to an aide to the Governor of Kebbi State, the Deputy Governor has been sent to the school to assess the situation and meet with parents.

This attack adds to growing concerns over rising insecurity in the North West region, where criminal gangs frequently target schools for mass abductions.
