Nahuel Molina’s early strike secured a 1-0 victory for Atletico Madrid over Getafe at
the Metropolitano, strengthening their grip on a top-four spot in LaLiga.
Molina unleashed a powerful 25-yard effort into the top corner in the eighth minute
after Getafe failed to clear their lines.
Getafe were later reduced to 10 men when Abdel Abqar was sent off following a VAR
review for an off-the-ball incident with Alexander Sorloth.
Despite the setback, the visitors pushed for an equaliser, but Atletico held firm to
claim their sixth win in seven matches in all competitions.
