Inter Milan returned to winning ways in emphatic fashion, thrashing Roma 5-2 at San
Siro to end their three-match winless run in Serie A.

The hosts struck inside a minute when Marcus Thuram burst down the right and
squared for Lautaro Martínez, who darted across his marker before firing clinically
past Mile Svilar.

Roma fought back and found an equaliser before the break, as Gianluca Mancini
rose to meet a pinpoint cross and powered a header beyond Yann Sommer.

Inter responded instantly, with Hakan Çalhanoğlu unleashing a stunning long-range
strike from over 30 yards that flew past the diving Svilar to restore the lead.
The hosts took full control after the restart, with Martínez finishing off a slick move
involving Thuram to grab his second, before Thuram himself rose highest to glance
home from a corner.

Nicolo Barella then added a fifth, reacting quickest to a loose ball and driving through
a stretched defence before finishing with composure.
Roma pulled one back late through Lorenzo Pellegrini, but it proved only a
consolation as Inter cruised to a dominant victory.
