LEEDS SNATCH LAST-GASP DRAW AGAINST BOURNEMOUTH.
Leeds United struck deep into stoppage time to earn a dramatic 2-2 draw with AFC
Bournemouth, making it consecutive head-to-head draws between the sides.
Bournemouth started brightly and created the better openings, with David Brooks
and Evanilson both going close, while Leeds gradually grew into the contest through
Brenden Aaronson, who was denied by Đorđe Petrović.
The hosts applied sustained pressure after the break and eventually went ahead
when Marcos Senesi set up Eli Junior Kroupi, whose effort took a deflection on its
way in.
Bournemouth thought they had done enough to win, even after a second goal was
ruled out, but Sean Longstaff struck in the 97th minute to rescue a point for Leeds.
The result extends Bournemouth’s unbeaten Premier League run to 14 matches,
while Leeds stretch their own run without defeat to seven games and head to
Wembley with momentum.
