Kimi Antonelli tightened his grip on the Formula One title race after claiming a third
consecutive victory with a dramatic win at the Miami Grand Prix.

The 19-year-old Mercedes star finished ahead of reigning world champion Lando
Norris and Oscar Piastri after a tense strategic battle in Miami.

Antonelli lost the lead early in the race but regained control through a perfectly timed
pit stop before holding off Norris in the closing laps.

“What a race, man,” Antonelli said over team radio after the chequered flag. “The
team did a great strategy, and we had a massive undercut. It was a tough race.”

Norris admitted McLaren were beaten tactically, saying: “We just got undercut. Kimi
did a good job and hats off to him and Mercedes.”

George Russell finished fourth for Mercedes ahead of Max Verstappen and Charles
Leclerc, who spun late in the race.

Lewis Hamilton crossed the line seventh for Ferrari.

The victory makes Antonelli the first driver in Formula One history to win his first
three races from his opening three pole positions.
