Italian teenager Kimi Antonelli produced a stunning lights-to-flag performance to win
the Monaco Grand Prix on Sunday, becoming the youngest ever winner at the iconic
circuit.

The 19-year-old controlled the race from pole position, building a commanding lead
and repeatedly setting the fastest laps as he left the field chasing shadows around
the principality.

Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff even admitted he told Antonelli to ease off,
saying: “It’s unbelievable what he’s able to deliver… at times he’s 1.5 seconds
quicker than anyone else.”

Despite two safety cars and a late red flag, Antonelli remained composed through
restart chaos, extending his advantage again in an eight-lap sprint to seal victory by
over six seconds.

The win marked his fifth consecutive triumph, underlining a dominant run of form and
a growing reputation as Formula 1’s newest star.
