Real Madrid secured a comfortable 3-0 victory over Stade Brestois in the UEFA Champions League but fell short of automatic qualification to the last 16, finishing as a seeded side for the play-offs.

Rodrygo opened the scoring in the first half with a precise strike, while Jude Bellingham doubled Madrid’s lead after the break, finishing off a well-worked move.

Brest thought they had equalized, but VAR ruled out Ludovic Ajorque’s deflected effort for offside.

Rodrygo sealed the win late on, converting a rebound after Kylian Mbappé was denied.

Despite their dominant display, Los Blancos’ slow start in the league phase meant they missed out on a direct knockout spot, while Brest settled for an unseeded play-off place.
