BARCELONA BEAT REAL MADRID TO CLINCH LALIGA TITLE.
Barcelona sealed their 29th LaLiga crown with a 2-0 victory over rivals Real Madrid at
the Camp Nou in a decisive El Clásico on an emotional night for manager Hansi
Flick.
Marcus Rashford gave Barca an early advantage with a superb free-kick before
Ferran Torres doubled the lead inside 18 minutes to put the hosts firmly in control.
Real Madrid attempted to respond, with Jude Bellingham later seeing a goal ruled
out for offside, but Barcelona remained dominant as celebrations began long before
the final whistle.
The title triumph came just hours after the death of Flick’s father, making it a
bittersweet evening for the German coach.
Barcelona’s victory secured back-to-back league titles and extended their winning
run to 11 matches, while Real Madrid were condemned to a rare trophyless season.
