CHELSEA STANDS FIRM AMID INTEREST IN ACHEAMPONG.
Chelsea have rejected several approaches for highly-rated defender Josh
Acheampong, underlining their determination to keep hold of one of the club’s
brightest young talents.
The 20-year-old academy graduate is regarded as untouchable by the Blues
hierarchy despite making only 17 Premier League appearances last season.
Acheampong remains under contract until 2029 and is viewed as a key part of
Chelsea’s long-term plans alongside some of the club’s most important first-team
stars.
Interest in the England Under-21 international continues to grow, with Arsenal,
Newcastle United and Crystal Palace all monitoring his situation, while Bournemouth
retain a long-standing admiration for the defender.
For now, however, Chelsea have made their position clear, with no intention of
allowing Acheampong to leave Stamford Bridge.
