GLASNER VOWS PALACE ‘WON’T WAVE THE WHITE FLAG’ AFTER REACHING FINAL.
Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner says his side will not ease off against
Everton, despite securing a place in the Europa Conference League final.
Palace advanced after a convincing 5-2 aggregate victory over Shakhtar Donetsk
and will now face Rayo Vallecano in the final in Leipzig on May 27.
Speaking after the match, Glasner revealed he had given his players time off before
returning focus to Premier League duties.
“I said to the players that we won’t wave the white flag against Everton,” Glasner told
TNT Sports.
The Austrian explained that Palace learned from a previous mistake following the
first leg against Shakhtar.
“We trained the next day, and they weren’t sharp,” he said. “I think it’s important they
enjoy themselves, rest, and we will meet on Saturday to prepare for Everton.”
