Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior labelled his side’s 3-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove
Albion as “unacceptable,” accusing his players of lacking “desire, spirit, and courage.”
Goals from Ferdi Kadıoğlu, Jack Hinshelwood, and Danny Welbeck condemned the
Blues to a fifth straight league loss without scoring, leaving their Champions League
hopes hanging by a thread.
Rosenior admitted he was “angry” and said the performance did not represent the
club, insisting the defeat was not about tactics but a lack of basic intensity and
commitment.
Chelsea sits seventh, seven points behind Liverpool, and risks missing out on
European football altogether unless results improve quickly.
Defender Trevoh Chalobah, however, offered a contrasting view, claiming the players
“gave it our all” and insisted the squad must stay positive despite growing frustration
among fans.
