Tensions boiled over after Wednesday’s heated Turkish Cup clash, with Fenerbahce accusing Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk of playacting during a post-match altercation with Jose Mourinho.

In a fiery statement, Fenerbahce claimed Buruk made disrespectful gestures to provoke Mourinho, who then “briefly touched his nose” in response.

The club criticised Buruk’s reaction, accusing him of theatrically falling “as if he had been shot.”

The incident occurred after Galatasaray’s 2-1 win, when both managers approached the officials. Galatasaray later alleged Mourinho physically attacked Buruk, while the latter played down the clash, saying there was “nothing” between them.

The feud escalated further after Galatasaray posted a mocking video of Mourinho styled after South Park, adding fuel to the rivalry.

The night also saw chaos on the touchline, with three substitutes, Mert Yandas (Fenerbahce), and Kerem Demirbay and Baris Yilmaz (Galatasaray), shown red cards for their roles in a stoppage-time scuffle.
