Paris Saint-Germain’s bid for an unbeaten Ligue 1 season was ended on Sunday as OGC Nice claimed a stunning 3-1 victory at Parc des Princes.

With the league title already secured, PSG aimed for perfection, but Nice had their own ambitions, securing a spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League.

PSG dominated possession early on, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia testing Nice goalkeeper Marcin Bułka. However, Nice struck first in the 34th minute, with Morgan Sanson finishing a well-timed through ball from Badredine Bouanani.

PSG responded quickly, with Fabián Ruiz scoring an equalizer just seven minutes later, following a clever chip from Ousmane Dembélé.

But Nice stunned the hosts once more early in the second half. Sanson’s acrobatic volley, off a Jonathan Clauss cross, put the visitors ahead again. PSG nearly equalized when Warren Zaïre-Emery’s effort was blocked, but Nice held firm.

With 20 minutes remaining, Bouanani’s free-kick found Youssouf Ndayishimiye, whose header sealed the win and pushed Nice back into the Champions League spots.

PSG now turn their attention to next month’s UCL semi-final against Arsenal and the Coupe de France final against Stade de Reims.
