Paris Saint-Germain confirmed on Friday that head coach Luis Enrique fractured his collarbone after a cycling accident.
The club said in a statement on X: “Following a cycling accident… Luis Enrique was treated by the emergency services and will undergo surgery for a fractured collarbone.
”The Spaniard led PSG to their first Champions League title last season and is now set for a spell of recovery ahead of a crucial run of fixtures.
The French champions return to Ligue 1 action on September 14 at home to Lens before beginning their European title defence three days later against Atalanta at the Parc des Princes.
