Paris Saint-Germain celebrated another historic night in Budapest as Luis Enrique and
Vitinha reflected on a season of challenges, resilience and ultimate glory after securing a
second consecutive UEFA Champions League title.

Enrique, who now boasts the highest win rate among coaches with more than 50 Champions
League matches, guided PSG through another dramatic final and admitted the achievement
fulfilled a lifelong ambition.

“It can only be positive, it’s a dream come true,” the Spaniard said. “It was a high-level final
against one of the most difficult opponents. After they scored in the first 10 minutes, we were
in hot water, but we were able to get back up.”

The PSG coach praised Arsenal’s defensive organization and physicality, describing the
Gunners as one of the toughest opponents his side had faced all season.

“It was a very tight game, very hard. We played against the strongest set-piece team in all of
Europe. But I think we were able to dominate. After all of the difficulties we had in the
season, I think we deserve the trophy.”

For Enrique, the triumph was another example of the resilience that has become the hallmark
of his team.

“One of the best qualities we have as a team is resilience. We were able to overcome all our
problems, and today we showed that against a strong Arsenal team. We played until the last
minute and showed the level of our team.”

Having conquered Europe once again after an exhausting campaign that also included the
Club World Cup, Enrique insisted there is no rush to reshape the squad despite already
looking ahead to next season.

“We already have a great squad. We need some players to change in a few positions, but we
are the champions of Europe, so… piano piano,” he joked.

Vitinha echoed his manager’s sentiments, describing the successful title defence as the perfect
ending to a demanding season.

“We were ready, but it was always difficult to deal with,” the Portuguese midfielder said.
“We’ve been able to get through match after match, and we were always present. Finishing off
the season like this is the ultimate dream.”

The midfielder was quick to shift the spotlight away from individual performances and onto
the collective spirit that has driven PSG’s success.

“It’s important to talk about the team. Some players might not have the playing time
that I do, but what the whole team does is incredible. Even the people who play less always
turn up. We have an incredible group.”

While celebrations have only just begun, Vitinha admitted PSG’s hunger for success remains
as strong as ever.

“The appetite just grows. You want to always win, never stop. I hope Luis Enrique will
continue to push us so we can win more and more.”

The midfielder also dismissed speculation linking several PSG stars with moves abroad,
insisting that the European champions remain the place to be.

“It’s normal big clubs want PSG players because we are at the top now. Normally, it’s not
good to say ‘we are the best’, but today we can say it. We take a lot of pleasure in being here.”

For now, however, thoughts of transfers and future targets can wait. After overcoming
adversity throughout the campaign and defending their European crown, PSG’s focus is
firmly on celebrating another chapter of history.

“Now we just want to celebrate with the people of Paris,” Vitinha said.
