Nigeria’s Super Eagles have opened camp in Rabat, Morocco, ahead of Thursday’s 2026 FIFA World Cup African playoff semi-final against Gabon.
By Sunday evening, eight players were already in camp, including Fulham trio Alex Iwobi, Calvin Bassey, and Samuel Chukwueze, alongside Wilfred Ndidi, Tolu Arokodare, Moses Simon, Olakunle Olusegun, and captain William Troost-Ekong.
Two more players, Benjamin Frederick and Chidozie Awaziem, joined later at night, as head coach Eric Chelle and his technical crew oversaw the first arrivals.
The Super Eagles will continue to receive more players in the coming days before facing Gabon on Thursday, with the winners advancing to the final on November 16 for a spot in the inter-confederation playoffs to the 2026 World Cup.
