Gospel musician Nathaniel Bassey has strongly condemned the recent violent attacks in Kwara and Kebbi states, urging Nigerians to unite in prayer while calling for divine judgment against terrorists and their sponsors.
His reaction follows a disturbing assault on a Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Eruku, Kwara State, where suspected bandits invaded a live-streamed service, leaving worshippers traumatized. The incident adds to a growing list of violent attacks in the region, including the abduction of 25 students from a girls’ boarding school in Kebbi State.
In a passionate message shared on X, Bassey declared that Nigeria is in a critical season where its enemies must be confronted decisively. “This is the time and season for the enemies of this nation to be judged once and for all — terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, and all who fund and support them,” he wrote. He warned that missing this moment could be disastrous for the country’s future.
Describing Nigeria as “one of the greatest nations on earth,” the worship leader stressed that the nation’s destiny is under spiritual and physical attack. Citing Deuteronomy 7, he said Nigeria must confront and conquer the forces working against its prophetic purpose.
Bassey prayed for renewed courage for the government, armed forces, intelligence community, and citizens, urging them to respond decisively to rising insecurity. “These killers, kidnappers, bandits, and the architects of these evil systems must be judged,” he said.
He ended on a prophetic note, declaring peace and prosperity over Nigeria: “Nigeria shall prosper and fulfil her prophetic destiny. In Jesus’ name.”
Other Nigerian celebrities, including Funke Akindele and Falz, have also condemned the attacks, calling for urgent government action to address the escalating insecurity across the nation.
