Dembele Double Fires PSG to Emphatic Classique Win.
Ousmane Dembele scored twice as Paris Saint-Germain thrashed Marseille in Le
Classique to return to the top of Ligue 1.
The Ballon d’Or winner opened the scoring early with a composed finish before doubling
the advantage midway through the first half, cutting in from the right and driving home a
powerful effort.
PSG tightened their grip after the break when Facundo Medina turned the ball into his
own net, and moments later Khvicha Kvaratskhelia produced a superb volley from
Dembele’s lofted delivery to extend the lead.
Substitute Lee Kang-in added a fifth to complete a dominant night for Luis Enrique’s
defending champions.
The victory moves PSG two points clear of Lens, who had won the previous day, while
Marseille remain fourth and now trail the leaders by 12 points.
