MESSI’S 900TH GOAL NOT ENOUGH AS INTER MIAMI CRASH OUT.

Lionel Messi reached the remarkable milestone of 900 career goals, but Inter Miami
were eliminated from the CONCACAF Champions Cup after a 1-1 draw with
Nashville SC.
Messi struck inside seven minutes to bring up his 900th goal, a historic achievement
in a glittering career.
“The number we’re talking about is insane… that’s why Leo is one of a kind,” said
coach Javier Mascherano.
But Cristian Espinoza levelled in the second half, sending Nashville through on away
goals and ending Miami’s campaign.
The result turned a landmark night into disappointment, with Messi’s 900th goal
ultimately not enough to keep Miami in the competition.
Despite the exit, the Argentine legend continues to trail only Cristiano Ronaldo in the
all-time scoring charts.
