JOSHUA VS FURY ON TRACK FOR BLOCKBUSTER NOVEMBER SHOWDOWN.
Promoter Eddie Hearn says British heavyweight stars, Anthony Joshua and Tyson
Fury are edging closer to a long-awaited clash targeted for November, though he
insists no final agreement has been signed.
The talks intensified after Netflix publicly announced that a deal for the fight had
already been agreed, sparking major excitement across the boxing world.
Hearn, however, dismissed that claim, saying the streaming giant “jumped the gun”
and that negotiations are still ongoing between both camps.
He confirmed that contracts have been exchanged and discussions continue over
fight structure and timing, including Joshua’s planned warm-up bout in July.
“We’ve been going back and forth, and we continue to do that,” Hearn said, adding
that there are “no major sticking points,” only logistical details to finalise.
He also stressed that Joshua’s focus remains on making the fight happen, with both
sides aligned on pushing towards the heavyweight super-fight later this year.
