CLINICAL VILLA EASE INTO EUROPA LEAGUE LAST FOUR.
Aston Villa delivered a ruthless display to beat Bologna 4-0 and cruise into the
Europa League semi-finals with a 7-1 aggregate win.
Despite a bright start from Bologna, Villa struck first through Ollie Watkins, whose
tap-in marked his 100th goal for the club and shifted control firmly in the hosts’ favour.
Emiliano Buendia doubled the lead soon after, before Morgan Rogers added a third
before the break to effectively end the contest.
Villa remained in control after half-time and capped a dominant night when Ezri
Konsa volleyed home a fourth, sealing a ninth straight home win in Europe.
The result underlines Villa’s clinical edge and growing momentum as they march into
the last four.
