MAN CITY RALLY LATE TO SINK STUBBORN SOUTHAMPTON AND REACH FA CUP FINAL.

Manchester City came from behind to beat Southampton 2-1 in the FA Cup semi-
final, with Nico Gonzalez scoring the decisive late winner at Wembley.
City dominated possession early on but struggled to break through, with chances
falling to Omar Marmoush, while Southampton held firm and frustrated the
favourites.
The breakthrough came late in the game when Finn Azaz stunned City with a superb
strike to give Southampton the lead.
However, the advantage was short-lived as Jérémy Doku responded quickly, his
effort, taking a deflection to level the contest.
With momentum on their side, City completed the turnaround when Gonzalez struck
from range to seal the victory and send Pep Guardiola’s side into the final.
Southampton pushed late but could not find an equaliser, as their impressive cup run
came to an end.
City now await either Chelsea or Leeds United in the final, keeping their hopes of
further silverware alive.
