Ruud van Nistelrooy made a dream debut as Leicester City manager, guiding the Foxes to a crucial 3-1 victory over West Ham at the King Power Stadium.

The win snapped a six-game drought and pushed Leicester four points clear of the relegation zone.

Jamie Vardy opened the scoring in the second minute after a lengthy VAR review overturned an offside call.

West Ham pushed back, with Danny Ings hitting the woodwork, but Leicester’s keeper Mads Hermansen made five key saves to preserve their lead at halftime.

The drama intensified in the second half when West Ham had an equaliser disallowed for a foul, and moments later, Bilal El Khannouss doubled Leicester’s lead.

Patson Daka sealed the victory in stoppage time, overshadowing Niclas Fullkrug’s late consolation goal for West Ham.

For under-fire West Ham boss Julen Lopetegui, the defeat marks his eighth loss of the season, with fans openly calling for his dismissal.

The Hammers will look to bounce back in their next match against Wolves while Leicester welcomes Brighton & Hove Albion.
