West Ham United F.C. were relegated from the Premier League despite beating
Leeds United F.C. 3-0 on the final day of the season.

The Hammers needed favours elsewhere to survive, but Tottenham Hotspur F.C.
secured their top-flight status with a 1-0 victory over Everton F.C.

“We did our part, but it was not enough,” West Ham boss Nuno Espírito Santo said
after the match. “We have to apologise to our fans and thank them for their support.”

West Ham’s relegation ends a 14-year stay in the Premier League and marks a
dramatic fall for a club that lifted the UEFA Conference League trophy in 2023.

Tottenham, meanwhile, avoided what would have been their first relegation from the
top flight in four decades, providing some relief after a difficult and injury-hit
campaign under Roberto De Zerbi.

The Hammers will now prepare for life in the Championship alongside Burnley F.C.
and Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C.
