Manchester City star Erling Haaland has committed his future to the club with a staggering nine-and-a-half-year contract extension, keeping him at the Etihad until 2034.
The new deal eliminates all release clauses from his previous contract, which was set to expire in 2027.
The Norwegian striker expressed his delight, calling City “a special club” and thanking manager Pep Guardiola, the coaching staff, and teammates for their support.
“I want to keep improving and help the team achieve even more success,” Haaland said.
Since joining City in 2022 from Borussia Dortmund, Haaland has scored 111 goals in 126 appearances and won multiple trophies, including two Premier League titles and the Champions League.
Despite his personal success, this season has been challenging for City, who currently sit sixth in the league, 12 points behind leaders Liverpool, and face pressure in the Champions League group stage.
