The Philadelphia Eagles delivered a dominant 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, denying them a historic third consecutive Super Bowl title.
Playing in their fifth Super Bowl in six years, the Chiefs entered with high expectations, but the Eagles’ top-ranked defense stole the show in New Orleans.
Patrick Mahomes was sacked six times and threw two interceptions as Kansas City’s dynasty hopes crumbled.
Jalen Hurts, who had fallen short against the Chiefs two years ago, silenced critics with a stellar performance, including a 46-yard touchdown pass that sealed the win.
The Eagles avenged their previous Super Bowl defeat and claimed their second championship, with Hurts earning MVP honors.
“I’ve been able to use every experience and learn from it,” Hurts said. “Sometimes, you have to wait your turn.”
