Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has urged his players to avoid arguing with match officials, calling such behavior “disrespectful.”
His comments come after Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham received a straight red card for dissent during their 1-1 draw at Osasuna.
Speaking ahead of Barcelona’s clash with Rayo Vallecano, Flick emphasized the importance of discipline. “I don’t like this behaviour and I said this today to my players because it’s very important. It is not good for the team when you do this and get the red card,” he stated.
The German manager reminded his squad that only the captain should engage with referees, stressing that losing composure on the pitch is a weakness.
Barcelona, currently third in LaLiga, have a chance to reclaim the top spot with a win over Rayo Vallecano on Monday.
