Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior was given an extra day off to recover from fatigue but will be available for Saturday’s LaLiga clash against Villarreal, manager Carlo Ancelotti confirmed.
The Brazilian forward missed training on Friday following Madrid’s grueling Champions League triumph over Atletico Madrid, which went to extra time and penalties.
Ancelotti reassured fans that Vinicius is only dealing with tiredness and will be ready to contribute at full strength.
“Vinicius is an indisputable player for us. He may have ups and downs, but his importance to the team is unquestionable,” Ancelotti stated.
With Madrid level on points with leaders Barcelona, the Italian coach emphasized the need for a strong response in their title push, urging his squad to find extra motivation despite their midweek exertions.
