VINICIUS DOUBLE KEEPS REAL MADRID TITLE HOPES ALIVE.
Real Madrid FC delayed Barcelona’s title celebrations with a 2-0 win over RCD
Espanyol, thanks to a second-half brace from Vinícius Júnior.
After a competitive first half, Vinícius broke the deadlock in the 55th minute,
combining with Gonzalo García before calmly finishing past the goalkeeper.
He sealed the win in the 72nd minute, firing into the top corner after a clever back-
heel assist from Jude Bellingham.
Real controlled much of the second half to secure their first LaLiga clean sheet since
February.
“It was an important win for us,” Vinícius said after the match as Madrid kept their
slim title hopes alive.
The victory ends Real’s away struggles and sets up a crucial clash with FC
Barcelona next weekend.
