GUARDIOLA HAILS ‘OUTSTANDING’ DOKU AFTER CITY BEAT BRENTFORD.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has hailed Jeremy Doku after the winger’s
impressive display helped City to a 3-0 victory over Brentford on Saturday.
Doku produced the breakthrough at the Etihad Stadium with a superb curled finish in
the second half, continuing his recent scoring streak as City kept pace with the Premier
League leaders Arsenal.
The Belgium international has now scored four goals in his last three matches,
becoming increasingly influential in City’s title chase.
“His impact has been fantastic for us,” Guardiola said. “He brings energy, creates
danger and now he’s deciding games with goals.”
City remains two points behind Arsenal with only a handful of matches left, meaning
Guardiola’s side must continue winning and hope the leaders drop points.
“We can only focus on ourselves and keep winning,” Guardiola added.
