Nollywood actress Lizzy Anjorin has agreed to step into the boxing ring with longtime rival Iyabo Ojo, reviving a years-long feud that has played out across social media and in courtrooms.

Anjorin made the announcement via Instagram on Sunday, confirming her acceptance of a proposal first introduced by show promoter Paulo Okoye in 2024.

“As at today, 3rd May 2026, I accept your challenge,” she wrote.

However, the actress attached fresh conditions to the bout, insisting that Okoye must first face her husband, Lawal, in a 10-round boxing match before she proceeds to fight Ojo the following day.

“You and Chief Lawal will fight 10 rounds non-stop in the ring. Then the next day, it will be me and Iyabo Ojo in the ring,” Anjorin stated.

She further escalated the rivalry by demanding that both Okoye and Ojo publicly present proof of their assets and achievements—an extension of the personal accusations that have defined their prolonged dispute.

The feud between Anjorin and Ojo has spanned several years, marked by heated online exchanges, legal battles, and police petitions. Tensions peaked in 2025 when Ojo filed a N1 billion defamation lawsuit against Anjorin. Although the case was later struck out on procedural grounds, Ojo has indicated plans to pursue further legal action.

The boxing proposal, which originally carried a N10 million prize for the winner, is now gaining renewed attention amid the growing popularity of celebrity boxing events in Nigeria.

In a recent example, street-pop singer Portable lost to comedian Carter Efe during a celebrity fight event in Lagos, further fueling interest in the emerging trend.

It remains to be seen whether all parties will agree to Anjorin’s new terms and bring the much-talked-about showdown to reality.
