MANCHESTER UNITED AGREE DEAL FOR ATALANTA MIDFIELDER EDERSON.
Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign Atalanta midfielder Ederson, with the
Brazilian set to become the first signing of the Michael Carrick era.
United will pay an initial £34m (€40.5m), with a further £3.8m (€4.5m) in add-ons, as
the club moves quickly to strengthen its midfield.
The 26-year-old is expected to sign a four-year contract with the option of a further
12 months, with the deal set to be completed before July, subject to a medical.
Ederson arrives amid plans for further midfield reinforcements, with Casemiro set to
leave and Manuel Ugarte also expected to depart.
The Brazilian has been on United’s radar for some time and is viewed as a key
addition to reshaping the squad for the new era.
