The Nigeria Football Federation has reportedly approached William Osula
over a potential switch to the Super Eagles.
The Newcastle United forward, born in Denmark to a Nigerian father, is yet to make
his senior debut for the Danish national team despite recent call-ups and an
impressive scoring record at the U-21 level.
Reports in Denmark claim the NFF has made contact through people close to the
player, as they look to convince him to commit his international future to Nigeria.
Osula’s situation remains open, with the striker eligible for both nations and currently
enjoying strong form at the club level, having scored three goals in his last four Premier
League matches.
Brian Riemer has praised the 22-year-old’s pace and pressing ability, highlighting his
potential impact, while Nigeria continues to explore options to strengthen its squad
ahead of upcoming fixtures.
With no official decision made, both countries remain in contention for the forward,
as the race for his international allegiance intensifies.
